Perched on the scenic peninsula leading to Chapel Point, Casma is a large, detached property offering an unforgettable escape for families or groups of friends looking to unwind on Cornwall’s beautiful south coast. Set right at the water’s edge in picturesque Portmellon Cove, this spacious retreat features a private garden and uninterrupted panoramic views across Mevagissey Bay, stretching northwards to Gribbin Point and Fowey. Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and welcoming, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the ever-changing sea views. The fully equipped, modern kitchen is ideal for preparing delicious meals using fresh local produce, ready to enjoy al fresco on the large outdoor dining area, perfect for long summer evenings with the sound of the waves in the background. A cosy summer room invites you to settle in and watch the waves roll in, making it the perfect spot to relax with a book or a glass of wine after a day exploring the coast.
The South West Coast Path passes just beyond the garden gate, making Casma a superb base for walkers and nature lovers. Nearby attractions include Caerhays Castle, overlooking Porthluney Bay and leading on to the famous Roseland Peninsula. Nestled in the next bay is Mevagissey, a charming and characterful fishing village that offers the perfect blend of tradition and beautiful scenery. With its winding cobbled streets, colourful cottages, and bustling working harbour, Mevagissey is the kind of place that invites you to slow down and soak in the coastal charm. For those staying closer to home, Portmellon Bay also has a welcoming local pub within easy walking distance – ideal for a relaxing drink or meal after a day of coastal adventures.
ACCOMMODATION – From the entrance hall there is access to all main living areas and bedroom one, plus stairs leading to the first floor. The ground floor includes a bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen with seaviews, breakfast bar, modern appliances and adjoining utility area with garden access. A dining room with seaview, table, and office space flows through an archway into the sitting room, which boasts seaviews, a woodburner, Smart TV, and patio doors to a decked terrace. The adjoining conservatory also enjoys sea views and opens to the garden. Bedroom one features a king-size bed, wardrobe, and en suite shower room. Upstairs, bedroom two offers sea views, a king-size bed, built-in wardrobes, and en suite shower room with double basins, while bedroom three provides sea views, flexible zip-link beds, built-in wardrobes, and an en suite bathroom. A wonderful location. Spacious home with fantastic views and easy access to the coastal path and surrounding bays. August 2025.
If you’re looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday in luxury accommodation with fabulous views Casma is the place for you. Couldn’t fault it. Highly recommended it. July 2025.
Position was absolutely perfect and the view of the sea was amazing! The house has everything you need to enjoy your holiday including very comfortable beds! Parking in Cornwall is always at a premium, so having parking spaces was a bonus. Portmellon Bay is a short walk away with a very friendly village pub and Mevagissey a short drive away. Would definitely recommend a stay at Casma - you won’t be disappointed! June 2025.
