Love Mevagissey but hate driving through the narrow streets? Then Highbury is the perfect property for you. Located on Trevarth, a private road situated just outside of the very centre of Mevagissey, the house has just been completely re-furnished to provide a superbly comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home-from-home for up to 6 people, within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and harbour.
20% discount when occupied by 2 people, 10% discount when occupied by up to 4 people, applicable all year round.
ACCOMMODATION – Highbury is light-filled and spacious, and the owners have ensured that guests have plenty of room to relax and socialise together as well as an upstairs ‘den’ for those who want some peace and privacy. The large sitting/dining room has a bay window at one end and french doors at the other, leading out onto the exterior courtyard. There are two sofas and two tub chairs, centred round the fireplace (with electric feature fire), and the tv is wall-mounted for easy viewing. The dining table, which seats 6, is situated by the bay window, with views over the valley. Across the wide hallway is the large kitchen, fully fitted with a electric double oven, separate electric hob and extractor, full size fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a small table and chairs, ideal for mid-morning coffee or an early supper for younger children.
There are two ground floor bedrooms; the master bedroom has a kingsize bed, plenty of storage (a wardrobe and chest of drawers) and french doors out onto the rear courtyard. The good-sized twin bedroom next door has two 3 ft single beds, a chest of drawers and a free standing clothes rail. The house has a shower room on the ground floor, with a wc, basin, heated towel rail and a large walk-in shower enclosure.
Upstairs, Highbury has a third double bedroom with a kingsize bed and chest of drawers, and an extra room furnished as a ‘den’ with a sofa, armchair and tv, which can be used as an extra sitting room, play room, or just somewhere quiet to read. There is a second bathroom on this floor, with wc, basin and bath with a shower off the taps.
The house has parking for 3 cars, and guests are welcome to store bikes, kayaks, fishing rods, etc. in the garage. Steps rise from the parking area up to two terraces in front of the house. A path runs down the side of the house to the rear courtyard which has garden chairs and a table. The village centre and harbour is approx a 5 minute walk from the house, half of which is gently sloping, the other half on the level.

We have had a really enjoyable holiday. Highbury is a lovely holiday home, thank you for providing everything we could possibly need and it is a great location too. We spent most of our days walking sections of the Coast Path.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Everything was as described in the listing. Helen was quick to respond to any messages and notified us that the house was ready early and we could go in as soon as we arrived in Mevagissey.
