The good-sized twin bedroom next door has two 3 ft single beds, a chest of drawers and a free standing clothes rail. The house has a shower room on the ground floor, with a wc, basin, heated towel rail and a large walk-in shower enclosure.

Upstairs, Highbury has a third double bedroom with a kingsize bed and chest of drawers, and an extra room furnished as a ‘den’ with a sofa, armchair and tv, which can be used as an extra sitting room, play room, or just somewhere quiet to read. There is a second bathroom on this floor, with wc, basin and bath with a shower off the taps.

The house has parking for 3 cars, and guests are welcome to store bikes, kayaks, fishing rods, etc. in the garage. Steps rise from the parking area up to two terraces in front of the house. We had a lovely stay at this property. Everything was as described in the listing. Helen was quick to respond to any messages and notified us that the house was ready early and we could go in as soon as we arrived in Mevagissey. July 24
