We are thrilled to present ‘Skysail’, the latest addition to the properties on our website. This contemporary light-filled house was built and finished in 2014 to extremely high standards and has been designed to make the most of its stunning location, with panoramic sea views. This is a house for guests that are looking for a unique 5 star experience, combining the advantages of a position within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the coast path with a beautiful property that we are confident you won’t want to leave!

Skysail sleeps 8 people and has private on-site parking for 2/3 cars, but it would also suit a couple looking for a romantic break for two with a touch of luxury and plenty of space. The house has a large garden with 2 patio’s (front and rear) and a large balcony area off the first floor living space. In the spring and summer it offers indoor/outdoor living with sun loungers and a bbq, and in the autumn and winter guests can enjoy the underfloor heating and log burner while watching the waves crash onto Chapel Point.
ACCOMMODATION – The front door leads into a spacious central hallway, off which are four large bedrooms, all with sea views; two have super-king (6ft) beds and two bedrooms have twin (3 ft) beds. There are two luxury bathrooms on this floor, one with a bath, walk-in shower, wc and basin and the other with a walk-in shower, wc and twin basins. The well-equipped utility room has a washing machine and dryer, extra fridge, ice machine, iron/ironing board etc.
An oak and glass staircase lead up from the hallway to the open-plan modern living space; the dining table, that seats 8, is situated in the front bay with windows on three sides and stunning sea views from Mevagissey round to Chapel Point; on a clear day you can see along the coast from Fowey towards Looe. The lounge area is centered around the log burner and an entertainment centre with television, DVD & CD player, BT Infinity 2 (streamed videos, BT Sport etc, plus superfast broadband), Apple TV.
The fully equipped luxury kitchen has a breakfast bar, induction hob, 2 ovens, grills and microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, and there are doors out to the front balcony area and the rear garden. There is also a separate cloakroom on this floor.
The garage has been converted to provide a table tennis and darts room, but it is not suitable for young children to use unsupervised as it is adjacent to the road.
FEATURES – Egyptian cotton linen provided, plus towels and beach towels. Free fast wifi, and use of a laptop. All heating and electricity is included; Skysail has marble and travertine floors with underfloor heating throughout, powered by an air-source heat pump. Log burner, with logs provided.
The house enjoys a large patio with sea views at the front of the house, and a back garden with secluded patio, bbq, seating and sun loungers, via doors off the main living space. Sauna available all year apart from July and August. There is also a large first floor balcony with stunning sea views, and seating.
GENERAL INFORMATION – Skysail has parking for 2 cars and a car port suitable for a third, smaller car. Mevagissey harbour and the village centre with its range of small shops, pubs and restaurants are a 5 minute downhill walk from the house, and the beach and pub at Portmellon are approx 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction.
Recommendations and Access Statement – Parents should be aware of the hard floors and many stairs, balconies, etc. No high chairs, cots or stair gates are available on site. Skysail is accessed from the parking area via steps and a sloping pathway to the front door, and the main living areas on the first floor are also accessed by stairs, so this house may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
