Yes, the bedlinen is included at all the properties. Beds will be made up (with duvets) ready for your arrival. Please note, if using an under-occupancy discount - bedding for the number of people specified on the booking form will be provided. If the 2-person discount is used, only bedlinen for the double bed will be included, unless otherwise agreed.
Bathroom towels are included at all properties; these towels are to stay in the properties, so please bring your own beach towels.
The minimum stay is 3 nights, which is calculated as 70% of the weekly tariff; a 4 night stay is 80% of the weekly rate, 5 nights 90% and 6 nights 95%. Short breaks are not normally available between mid - May and the end of September.

You are welcome to bring a dog to Goose Cottage, Coach House, Handspan Cottage, Blue Harbour Cottage and Trewollock, subject to a small charge (£20/wk/per pet). We would remind visitors that pets are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture, and must never be left on their own in the property. Pets should also be cleared up after, both inside (animal hair) and outside the properties. Please bring an old towel for cleaning feet in wet weather!

Many of the family properties have travel cots and highchairs, and we also have a small number of extra cots/highchairs which can be requested (subject to availability) at the time of booking. We don't make any charge for this.

Each property description states if the cottage has parking, and whether this is on-site, or by permit for the harbourside cottages. Handspan Cottage comes with a permit to cover the parking charge; after unloading, your car must be parked in the harbour car park which is approx 5 mins walk from the cottage on the opposite side of the quay. Blue Harbour Cottage include parking at Willow Car Park, which is approx 5 mins walk from the cottage. If you are staying at a village centre cottage without on-site parking you will need to carry your luggage/shopping to and from the nearest car park or suitable unloading place - please check with us before booking if this is likely to be a problem.

At the moment, none of the properties have car charging points, but there are several 22Kw EV charging points (PodPoint 4 x 22kW 32A Type 2 Mennekes) in the Willow Car Park in the centre of the village. Please do not attempt to charge your vehicle using the standard domestic supply at the property you are staying at.

Properties will be available from 4pm; if a property is ready before that, we will ring you to let you know, provided you have given us a mobile number on your booking. If a property has a different arrival time, you will be informed when your booking is confirmed. We realise that during the busy holiday times people often travel early in the morning to avoid traffic; we cannot however guarantee that a property will be ready before 4pm, as the cleaning teams have several properties to clean and sanitise. Likewise, we require all visitors to vacate the properties by 9.30am on the morning of departure, unless otherwise agreed.
Full details of where to collect the key, and directions to the property, will be sent approximately 2 weeks before the start of your holiday.
All properties clearly state a maximum occupancy, and this includes children over the age of 12 months. Babies under 12 months do not count towards occupancy, but must be included on the booking form. A few of the one bedroom cottages do not allow any children, usually for safety reasons. If you are found to exceed the maximum occupancy of a property, we reserve the right to terminate your booking and will ask you to vacate the property. No refund of the remaining rental will be made.
There is good mobile reception in Mevagissey and Gorran Haven.
Yes, all have free Wi-Fi
The Coach House has an open fire, in addition to storage heating and electric radiators. Supplies of logs and kindling can be purchased locally. Blue Harbour Cottage has a wood-burning stove in the living room.
You will be given contact details and numbers for the owners or their housekeeper, and we are always available to help sort things out. We will always do our best to resolve things quickly, but we need to know immediately if there is something wrong - we cannot resolve problems at the end of your stay or once you have returned home.
A booking is a legally binding contract, and guests cancelling a booking will lose any monies paid, subject to our terms and conditions.Cancellation insurance, with cover for Covid, is strongly recommended. Mevagissey Holiday Cottages takes bookings via its website, over the phone, via email requests, and from guests in person. When choosing a property think carefully about your requirements; cottages in the centre of villages may be convenient for shops/pubs/restaurants, but that often means there is no garden, there may be traffic noise, or parking may be several minutes walk away. Places out of the village centre may be great for peace and tranquility, but you will have a longer walk to get milk or a newspaper. Some of the cottages are hundreds of years old, and may have low ceilings or beams which may be a problem if you are very tall. Mevagissey is perched on steep hills that drop down to the harbour, and this means properties are often approached via steps, or have several flights of stairs inside. Seagulls can be noisy, seaweed may be smelly, and your romantic spot close to the water may mean waves against the windows during a storm! I am always happy to discuss the pro's and con's of each property to help you choose the most suitable place for your holiday, particularly if you have any health or mobility issues, so please feel free to ring for a chat!
